Our dedicated staff is the heart of everything we do. From our experienced teachers and assistant teachers to our caring director and cafeteria team, each member is committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and enriching environment for your child. Together, we create a supportive community where children can learn, grow, and thrive every day.
Director
Nacole Sharpe
Miss Nacole has been part of the ELF family for 18 years and truly loves what she does. Nothing makes her happier than seeing kids learn, grow, and have fun every day. When she’s not at ELF, you can usually find her quilting—her favorite way to unwind and get creative.
Curriculum Director & Pre-K
Connie McClurg
Miss Connie has been a part of the ELF family for 35 years, shaping young minds and creating a love for learning. As the Pre-K lead teacher and curriculum director, she’s passionate about helping kids grow and thrive. When she’s not in the classroom, she loves reading, hiking, traveling, and cheering on her favorite NFL teams.
Assistant Teacher
Nitashia MaKarsky
Miss Nitashia has been with ELF for a year and also works as a substitute teacher for Monongalia County Schools. She’s currently working toward her ECAT to teach Pre-K and Kindergarten. When she’s not teaching, she stays active by running and enjoys playing both the piano and violin. At home, she’s a proud mom to two wonderful kids!

Kathi Brafford
Kathi joined the ELF family in the summer of 2024, but she’s been caring for kids for 17 years. She has a big heart for helping little ones learn and grow. When she’s not at work, she loves taking trips to Myrtle Beach and riding the Cass Scenic Railroad whenever she gets the chance.
Resource Teacher
Amie Miller
Miss Amy has been part of the ELF family for 1.5 years and loves being part of a child’s learning journey. At home, she stays busy being a mom to her teenager. In her free time, she likes to unwind with a good word search or take peaceful walks.

Holli McMillen
Miss Holli joined ELF in 2024. She has a natural way of making kids feel safe and cared for, which is why she loves working with little ones. When she’s not in the classroom, she's busy with her own two kids at home. In her spare time, she enjoys gardening and taking care of her backyard chickens.

Cierra Wolfe
Miss Cierra may be new to ELF, but she brings five years of experience in caring for children. She loves helping little ones learn and grow each day. Outside of work, she stays busy with her three kids and enjoys spending time outdoors, especially hiking.

Kizzie Hardy
Miss Kizzie is passionate about working with children and is planning to continue her education in childcare, likely at WVU. She loves creating a fun and nurturing environment for little ones to learn and grow. When she’s not in the classroom, you can usually find her out on a hiking trail, enjoying the great outdoors.

Miss Anya loves bringing smiles to the kids at ELF—especially when it comes to their favorite foods! She enjoys cooking and always loves hearing what meals the little ones enjoy most. She has a son in the Pre-K program at ELF, and together, they share a love for animals, often visiting farms to see and learn about them.

Ms. Kayla
Miss Kayla loves making sure the kids at ELF have delicious meals to keep them fueled for the day. She has a passion for reading and writing and is also a proud advocate for autism awareness, inspired by her amazing daughter. In her free time, she enjoys learning about cryptids and all things mysterious!
